Former Jigawa State Governor, Saminu Turaki Arrested By EFCC

The former governor of Jigawa State, Senator Saminu Turaki was arrested this afternoon, July 4, 2017 by agents of EFCC.
He was arrested at the venue of the public presentation of a book on Brigadier Zakariya Maimalari, the first regular combatant officer in the Nigerian Army, in Abuja.
EFCC had to declare Turaki wanted for failing to present himself for trial since 2011 on 36 counts corruption charge before the Federal High Court, Dutch, before the arrest
The court had presented a warrant directing the Inspector General of Police or his officers and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to arrest Saminu Turaki and bring him before the court. The order was given by Justice S. Yahuza after Turaki consistently failed to attend trial. But attempts to execute the warrant failed as Turaki remained elusive.
On May 19, 2016 EFCC operatives acted on a tip-off, stormed the 16 Denis Osadebey Street Asokoro, Abuja home of the former governor but he slipped through their hands.
Turaki faces various charges including criminal conspiracy, stealing, money laundering and misappropriation of public funds.

Submerged Stonehenge A weird stone formation sits deep on the bottom of Lake Michigan. Nobody really knows what it is, what it’s for and if it has any connection to its British look-a-like. One of the pillars even has a picture of an animal that has been extinct for over 10,000 years. More questions than there are answers! 2. A Sculpture Park of Terror Start singing “Under the sea” from “Little Mermaid” while you’re diving to the bottom of the Caribbean Sea to check out what might be the creepiest place on earth. Over 500 statues will be staring at you, and if you know an

Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has branded Acting President Yemi Osinbajo a liar for claiming that President Muhammadu Buhari is recovering very fast and had engaged in a lengthy substantive discussion with him. He has therefore called on Osinbajo to reveal the true state of ailing President Muhammadu Buhari to Nigerians or he may be forced to publish about 11 pictures showing the current state of the president’s health. Osinbajo, who traveled to London on Tuesday where he said he visited Buhari and had over an hour meeting with him, had told Nigerians that the ailing President was in “high spirits” and was “recuperating very quickly.” However, Governor Fayose who had earlier claimed that Buhari had been on life support since June 6, speaking with newsmen in Abuja on the matter, accused Osinbajo of lying to Nigerians and threatened that “if care is not taking, I will release pictures and this will create serious problems for the country.” He said, “The offices of the g
